Dear Badminton Lovers,

It is a great privilege to Madhya Pradesh Badminton Association and also the State of Madhya Pradesh that we are holding the 64th Inter-state Inter-zonal & 73rd Senior National Badminton Championships 2008-09 this time in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Badminton Association has been very active in the last 8 10 years in organizing National Level Badminton Tournaments in Madhya Pradesh. In the year 1999 Madhya Pradesh Badminton Association organized the All India Inter-University Inter-Zonal Badminton Championships at Indore. We also organized the Junior National Badminton Championships at Bhopal during the year 2001 and successfully organized Major Ranking Senior Prize Money Badminton Tournament in 2005 & 2006

The team of Madhya Pradesh Badminton Association is a very experienced team and has been organizing these tournaments with great enthusiasm and success. Our track record has been appreciated by the Badminton Association of India and they have, therefore, allotted the exciting and challenging job of organizing the Senior National Badminton Championships in Madhya Pradesh this year. I am happy to say that the Championships will be held at Indore from 10th to 18th of February 2009. I look forward to cooperation from all of you in being able to organize this National Level Championship successfully. I am also thankful to the Badminton Association of India, especially Mr.V.K.Verma, President, BAI and Mr.L.C.Gupta, hon. Secretary, BAI for giving this opportunity to us. I wish the Tournament all success.

Represented St.Stephens in the Badminton team during 1970-73. Was part of the Delhi University Badminton team during 1970-73. Represented London School of Economics, London and University of London in Badminton team during 1973-75.

Was Singles Runner up in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration during 1976-77.

Have been involved in organizing Badminton tournaments and enabling construction of Badminton halls in Satna (MP), Sujalpur (MP), Dhar (MP), Indore (MP) and has been President of Madhya Pradesh Badminton Association since 1998.

Also been Vice President of Badminton Association of India between 2002-04.
